Leonard Leslie Amos, 82, of Chillicothe, Mo., died Friday, March 5, 2010 at Livingston Manor Care Center in Chillicothe.
Leonard was born on July 17, 1927 in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of George Washington Amos and Sarah Candac Morrow Amos.
He did odd jobs and salvaged scrap metal around his neighborhood.
He is survived by two sisters, Mildred Taube of Chillicothe and Marcella Rothov of Blue Springs, Mo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and three sisters.
Memorials in honor of Leonard Amos may be made to Heritage Funeral Home and left at the funeral home or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 North Washington, Chillicothe, Mo., 64601.
Burial was to be held at Forrest Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo., on Monday, March 8, 2010.
Arrangements were under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
