Ruth Tharp, 91, of Henrietta, Texas, formerly of Spickard, Mo., and Jamesport, Mo., died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 in Henrietta, Texas. 

Funeral services were held at the Cowboy Church in Henrietta, Texas, with Rev. Larry Miller, pastor officiating. 

Mrs. Tharp was born April 22, 1916 in Chillicothe, Mo., the daughter of Rev. Carl Lee and Ruth (Beaver) Simpson. 

She was a dietician and also a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her sons, Alden Tharp, Henrietta, Texas, and Steven Tharp of Wyoming; daughter, Belinda Palisoc, Alaminos, Philippines; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Myron Tharp; son, Ronald Tharp, and grandaughter, Tracey Tharp.

Graveside services will be held in Trenton, Mo., at the Resthaven Cemetery on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 10 a.m. Pastor Eduardo Palisoc and Brent Spray will officiate.
