Rena Rae Thomas, age 61, of Camdenton, Mo., passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Mo. 

Rena was born Aug. 23, 1947 in Colorado Springs, Colo.,  daughter to James and Mildred Sampsel.

Rena was an assembly worker most of her career; and in her spare time enjoyed sewing, watching movies, reading and traveling. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears.

Survivors include three  sons, George Lobaugh, James Sampsel and Larry Fisher;  two sisters, Nancy and Kay Sampsel  and two  brothers, James Sampsel and Carl Sampsel and his wife Metta; and step brothers and sisters; father James Sampsel; along with four  grandchildren; her special Aunt “Mommy” Mary Capps and Uncle Marvin Capps;  best friend Melody Kozickia and Aunt Wanda Pereze.

Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Camdenton, Mo. Visitation scheduled one hour prior to service. Private burial will be held at Dale Blair Cemetery at a later date.
