Marvin E. Frazier, 80, resident of Eldon, Mo., a former resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 in Eldon, Mo.

Marvin was born Dec. 31, 1929 in Salisbury, Mo., son of William Riley Frazier and Ella Caroline (Friesz) Frazier. He married Patricia Cassidy Dec. 31, 1961 in Kansas City, Mo.

Marvin was an auto worker and was a member of the UAW Local #249.

He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Jefferson City, Mo. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 29 years before his retirement. He then worked full time at Walmart as a door greeter.

Marvin and his family lived in Chillicothe, Mo., from 1992 until 2002.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of the home; son, Robert Frazier, Eldon, Mo.; three grandchildren; brother, Earl Frazier, Kansas City, Kan.; and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Erleen Carter.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, Mo., at 2 p.m. with Rev. Neil Dye and Rev. Randall Hoffmann officiating. Full military honors will be provided at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo., by the Eldon VFW Post #2442 following the funeral service. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will be in the Eldon City Cemetery, Eldon, Mo., at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, Mo.
