Goldie Colene Stratton, 80, a resident of Braymer, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Mo.

She was born in Breckenridge, Mo., on Feb. 1, 1930, the daughter of Charles and Luella (Cashatt) Peirce. On Sept. 14, 1946 she married Roy Stratton. He preceded her in death in 2000.

Colene was employed by Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, Mo., as a nurse for many years.
She is survived by one son, Jim Stratton, Ariz.; two daughters, Linda Baker, Holt, Mo., and Carol Copple, Braymer, Mo.; two brothers, Charles Peirce, Ludlow, Mo., and John Peirce; two sisters, Arlene Coshow and Mary Climer, both of Casper, Wyo.; eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

There are no scheduled services at this time. Burial will be held at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Mo.

Memorial contributions may be made to HMC Hospice and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.

Arrangements are under the direction of Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Mo.
