Anita Gay Russell, 65, of Kingston, Mo., died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010 at Hillcrest Manor, Hamilton, Mo., under the care of her family and Hospice Advantage of Gallatin, Mo.

Anita was born Oct. 17, 1944 in Cameron, Mo., the daughter of James Clyde Martin and Colleen Asher Martin. On July 23, 1961 she married Bobby Lee Russell in the Cameron Christian Church. He survives of the home.

Anita attended the Cameron Schools.

Anita was a waitress for several years but mostly she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bob Russell; three sons, Randy Lee Russell, Pass Christian, Miss., Lonnie Ray Russell and wife Julie, Vale, Ariz., and James Dale Russell and wife Shelley, Kingston, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Julia Amanda Lynn, Trista LaDawn Russell, Loni Ray Russell, Brittany Jo Russell, Samantha Jolene Russell, Harold James Russell, Megan Nicole Russell, Garrett Lee Russell; a great-grandchild, Lilly Mae Lynn; four brothers, Roy Clyde Martin, Okla., Denton Martin, Cameron, Mo., Mike Martin, Cameron, Mo., and Everett Martin, Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Carol Ann Martin Swindler, La Vista, Neb.; several nieces and nephews.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Norma Jean Martin Vanderpool.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010 from 12 to 5 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Mo. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010 at Kingston Baptist Church, Kingston, Mo. There will be a private funeral and burial.

Memorials in honor of Anita Russell may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 490 W. Main, Breckenridge, Mo. Online condolences may be left at www.heritage-becausewecare.com.
