If you’re a Livingston County resident or own property within Livingston County, don’t forget to submit your personal property forms to the assessor’s office (at the county courthouse) by March 1. Failure to do so can result in a penalty of anywhere between $10 and $100, depending upon the value of property to be listed. If you haven’t received a form, or if you are new to Livingston County, you are not exempt from filing. Please, stop by the assessor’s office and pick up a form on the first floor of the courthouse, or call (660) 646-8000, and avoid an unnecessary fine to start your new year.
