Livingston County and the City of Chillicothe will receive a $2,000 Roadway Safety Assessment grant for the performance examination of the Mitchell Road and Highway 36 intersection. The interesection, which has been a safety concern for some time, will be evaluated and potential safety issues will be addressed. We believe that the grant and assessment are strides toward making the intersection a safer place for motorists. We do not believe, however, that traffic should be allowed through all four lanes in that particular area due to the dangers it has caused and is causing.
