Cory James Craft, 27, a resident of Ludlow, Mo., died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Mo.
Cory was born Aug. 12, 1984 in Chillicothe, Mo., the son of Jimmy Dean and Pamela Sue (Garst) Herndon. He married Mary R. Johnson in Ludlow, Mo., on Oct. 2, 2004.
He was a 2005 graduate of Southwest High School.
He was a member of the Ludlow Community Church and the Chillicothe City Pool League. Cory was an avid KU and Chiefs fan.
He is survived by his mother Pamela and step-father, Jeffery Kaiser, Chillicothe, Mo.; wife, Mary, Hamilton, Mo.; two sons, Tucker James Craft, Hamilton, Mo., and Landon James Craft, Ludlow, Mo.; one daughter, Khloie E. Craft, Hamilton, Mo.; stepchildren, Dillon Hulett and Tristan Hulett, Hamilton, Mo.; one brother, Zack W. Craft, St. Joseph, MO.; two sisters, Corrina Craft, Kansas City, Mo., and Tiffany Craft, Chillicothe, Mo.; one niece, Jaylynn Craft, Chillicothe, Mo.; one nephew, Charles Lance Sayers, Chillicothe, Mo.; grandfather, Sherman Garst, Ludlow, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father Jimmy; maternal grandmother Donna Garst; paternal grandparents Gladys and Juril Craft; and one uncle T.J. Craft.
Funeral services will be held at Ludlow Community Church, Ludlow, Mo., on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011 at 10 a.m. A family visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. Friends may call the funeral home on Monday from 12 to 9 p.m. Burial will be held at McCroskie Cemetery, Ludlow, Mo.
