We welcome incoming R-2 superintendent Roger Barnes, along with his family, from El Dorado Springs to our community. The upcoming challenges for R-2 are tall, but Chillicothe is a great community with an abundance of parental support for our revered school district. We ask that, upon his arrival to Chillicothe and to his new position at the R-2 district, he be open and communicative with the tax-payers/constituents of the district, as well as with the teachers, staff and administration that serve our students on a day-to-day basis. Barnes will be acting superintendent as of July 1, and we wish him the best of luck.
