MARCELINE — Despite the continuation of strong individual seasons by senior Blake Brose and junior Nick Plummer and a pair of Cameron Breeden pins, the Chillicothe High School wrestling Hornets fell twice in a road double-dual against traditionally-strong smaller schools Marceline and Hamilton, extending the CHS team’s dual-matches losing streak to eight.
Chillicothe led Hamilton by a couple of points with three bouts to go with one of those already known to be a pending forfeit to CHS as Hamilton would be open at 145 pounds. However, the smaller-school Hornets posted two wins by fall at 135 and 140 pounds over young Chillicothe grapplers to snatch away a 40-36 win.
