Despite a strong season-opening showing by their returning All-State player, the Chillicothe High School golf Lady Hornets took it on the chin in their 2010 season opener yesterday, losing to Trenton 191-200.
The Lady Hornets did manage to defeat small school Putnam County 200-239 to split the double-dual at Chillicothe’s Green Hills Golf Course.
Although her teammates had some struggles, Chillicothe junior Elizabeth Sivill got her season off to a very fine start, carding a match-best nine-hole score of 39
