SAVANNAH — The Chillicothe High School golf Lady Hornets could only manage to have one player shoot a 50 or lower yesterday, while the host Savannah Lady Savages didn’t have anyone over 50 in securing a 31-stroke victory over the visiting Lady Hornets.
Paced by medalist No. 1 player Alex Steinkamp’s 38, the Lady Savages compiled a low-four team score of 170. Despite a 39 by top player Elizabeth Sivill, Chillicothe had a 201.
The outcome left Chillicothe with a 1-3 record on the just-starting season. The golfers won’t play again until Sept. 7 when then host St. Joseph: Benton and Lafayette and Cameron in a triple-dual
