FULTON — The 2010 Chillicothe High School boys’ soccer season commenced Saturday with a 6-0 loss to the Fulton Hornets.
The game was the first as CHS head coach for Shannon Grable. Bill Allison led the program to a 14-34 mark through its first three years of existence, including a 3-14 campaign last fall.
Leading the 2010 CHS roster will be seven seniors, including tri-captains Laine Saunders, Josh Thieme, and Miles McLemore, and the top goal scorer of a season ago, sophomore Grant Peterson. He netted seven shots last year.
“I’m excited about the possibilities for this team,” states Grable. “Once we get a few games under our wings and we have something to review we will be in a better position to evaluate ourselves.”
Fulton won Saturday’s junior-varsity match, 1-0.
The CHS booters will host Atchison, Kan.: Maur Hill Tuesday at 4 p.m.
