Chillicothe, Mo. -

Weather permitting, the Chillicothe Cardinals American Legion baseball team faces a very, very busy weekend.
Idle from game action since losing a June 14 home doubleheader to Moberly, the Vern R. Glick Post No. 25 Cardinals (2-6, 1-2 District 2) are slated for doubleheaders Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – the first two at home, but at different locations.
Chillicothe is scheduled to host Macon tomorrow (Friday) at Daryl Danner Memorial Park. The time of the first game will be 6 p.m.
On Saturday, the Cardinals will host District 2 foe Trenton in a 2 p.m. doubleheader at “June” Shaffer Memorial Park.
Finally, on Sunday, Chillicothe will visit District 2 opponent Brookfield for a 2 p.m. twinbill at Rusk Park.
The Legion Cardinals were rained out of a slated home doubleheader with Unionville last Saturday. It has not yet been rescheduled, according to Cardinals general manager Brent Young.
