The 2010 Chillicothe High School soccer Hornets figured to have difficulty generating much scoring this fall and, through two matches, that’s been the case.
Making their home debut under first-year head coach Shannon Grable yesterday, the Hornets sustained their second-consecutive shutout, this time at the hands of Atchison, Kan.’s Maur Hill Academy Ra-vens, 2-0.
Although the Hornets seemed to play most of the first 40 minutes from just on their side of midfield into Maur Hill’s end of the pitch, they couldn’t produce a breakthrough play. As a result, they went to the sidelines at halftime tied 0-0.
