Chillicothe's Plummer Finishes Fourth In State Wrestling

Junio wrestlerr Nick Plummer of Chilliicothe High School brought home fourth place from the Class 2 2010 Missouri State High School Activities Association Championships Saturday.

Plummer, already assured of a state medal as a top-six finisher at the start of the day, posted his fourth win in a row in the consolation wrestlebacks by pinning Marshon Eddings of Berkeley: McCluer South in 3:52 Saturday morning. That boosted him into the third-place finals where he was defeated 5-1 by Levi Maggard of Carl Junction.

Plummer ended the season 34-13. He's the first Chillicothe wrestling state medalist in a couple of years and its highest finisher since Bobby Crabtree won the state championship at 119 pounds and Dustin Murray took second at 135 in 2007.
