Livingston County New Horizons is set to host its annual Back to School Bash on Monday, Aug. 4, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the tennis courts in Danner Park in Chillicothe. The event, themed “Where Every Kid Belongs,” is designed to provide children and families with an evening of fun, community spirit, and resources as they gear up for the new school year.
Families attending can expect a wide variety of activities geared toward making the back-to-school transition both exciting and memorable. Among the highlights will be the PAWS Sensory Trailer, offering an engaging experience for children, along with multiple sensory activity tables that will encourage creativity and exploration. For those looking for a bit of adventure, obstacle courses will be available, giving kids a chance to be active and enjoy friendly challenges under the summer evening sky.
In addition to the activities, a resource table will be on hand to provide families with helpful information and tools to support their children throughout the school year. Organizers say snacks will be provided to keep the energy high as families take part in the festivities.
The Back to School Bash has become a favorite community tradition, offering both entertainment and support as families prepare for classes to resume. With its mix of play, learning, and resources, the event aims to make every child feel included and excited for the year ahead.
