CHILLICOTHE – Following voter approval of the 911 Central Dispatch Sales Tax, the Livingston County Commission is now accepting letters of interest for appointment to a newly formed seven-member Central Dispatch Board.
The Commission, led by Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas, outlined the board structure, which will include three members representing the East District, three members representing the West District and one member at large, serving the entire county
Residents interested in serving are invited to submit their letter of interest to the Livingston County Clerk by Sept. 15. All applications will be reviewed and applicants invited to interview before the Commission makes final appointments.
Douglas said that, as with the formation of most boards, this group will be tasked with setting a budget and hiring good management.
In April, county voters will be asked to cast their votes for board members.
