Having created a clean break-in on the St. Joseph: Bishop LeBlond goal from about 35 yards out with a quick-thinking maneuver as she accepted teammate Sophia Luetticke’s pass from near midfield on a direct free kick, Chillicothe High School soccer Lady Hornets high-scoring senior forward Lucy Reeter delivers a low, left-footed shot from 13 yards away from the BLHS goal just before a pursuing defender can cut her off during the fifth minute of last Monday’s match at Chillicothe’s Jerry Litton Memorial Stadium II. Reeter’s shot found its mark, giving CHS a 1-0 lead after 4:38. She also added an insurance goal – her 19th of the season – with 3:51 remaining as the hosts defeated the state-ranked foe 3-1.
