In the last of his limited number (13) of 2022-23 regular- season bouts, due to injury, Chillicothe High School Hornets senior Dilyn Ulmer appears to be trying to stand Oak Grove’s Kade Carroll on his head during their 215-pounds division bout during the teams’ Feb. 7 dual match in Chillicothe. Ulmer, who pinned Carroll with one second left in the first period to raise his record to 7-6 this year, is considered a potential longshot to nab a top-4 finish in this weekend’s state-tourney-qualifying Class 2 District 4 tournament at Excelsior Springs.
