Not only a dynamic duo on the offensive end – particularly of late, but also as rebounders and, here, as defenders, Chillicothe High School basketball Hornets forwards James Mathew (nearest camera) and Jaishon White apply double defense to Marshall’s Brody Kueker during last Friday’s 62-47 CHS road victory. White, a 6’4” sophomore, brought down nine rebounds, blocked four shots, earned three assists, and scored 14 points in the win, while Mathew led all scorers with 22 points and matched White’s nine rebounds while blocking two shots and earning two assists in CHS’ 18th win of the year. The duo combined to sink 15 of 20 shots from the field, giving White 23 “makes” in 25 tries over a 3-games span and 36 in his past 42. (PAUL STURM/C-T PHOTO)
