Charles Muck, 90, of Meadville, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Livingston Manor, in Chillicothe, Mo.

Charles Richard was born Aug. 17, 1922, in Hale, Mo., son of Eugene and Frances (Dudley) Muck. On June 10, 1944, he married Darlyne Engleman.

Charles was a farmer and had worked at the Meadville Lumber Yard and later at Cornett Farm.

He was a member of the Haseville Methodist Church. Charles was a United States Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater.

He is survived by his wife, Darlyne, of the home; two sons, Robert Muck, Linneus, Mo., and Randy Muck and wife Deon, Macon, Mo.; two grandsons, Shawn Muck, Linneus, Mo., and Bradley Muck, Macon, Mo.; one granddaughter, Mallory Brown and husband Andrew, Springfield, Mo.; one sister, Helen Buckman and husband Orville, Meadville, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Owen Kehr, Meadville, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lois Kehr.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Meadville, Mo., with his grandson-in-law, Andrew Brown, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, west of Purdin, Mo. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, one hour prior to service time.
