Three event highlights 1 All Missouri Spin In No political “spin” and no bicycles — we’re talking about a convergence of spinning wheels of all sizes, ages and types. It’s the All Missouri Spin In with an estimated 200 vendors, teachers and spinners expected to attend. Silk painting, weaving, felting, jewelry, art batts, yarns and a lot of other items that are knitted and crocheted. When: 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday, April 25 Where: Mervyn Jenkins Expo Center Admission: Free. Classes available for a fee. 2 Dedication of Tina Mapel Memorial Dog Park A young woman’s love for dogs will be remembered during the dedication of the Tina Mapel Memorial Dog Park. The park is about an acre and has two fenced-in areas for large and small dogs. Each area has play equipment. Water is available on site. When: 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25. Where: West end of Clay Street. Admission: Free. 3 Museum Spring Tea: The Grand River Historical Society Museum will have its annual spring tea. New this season will be a display featuring the Livingston County Courthouse, which is 100 years old, and two new murals by local artist Kelly Poling. New this year also is a cell phone tour with the curator describing exhibits. Light refreshments of punch and cookies will be served. When: 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday, April 26 Where: 1401 Forest Drive Admission: Free. Donations accepted. 4 Bishop Hogan Dinner Auction The school is hosting its annual benefit dinner/auction. The evening will have a Las Vegas theme. Silent auction, live auction and dinner. When: Saturday, April 25. Silent auction begins at 4 p.m. Dining area opens at 6 p.m. Live auction to follow at 7:30 p.m. Where: Bishop Hogan Memorial School Admission: No charge to attend auctions. Dinner tickets available for $10 at the door; $9 in advance at the school and Lauhoff Jewelry. 5 YMCA Healthy Kids / Craft & Vendor Expo: Shop your favorite crafters and vendors during the expo. Children invited to attend the Healthy Kids Day event filled with fun and healthy activities for children of all ages. When: Saturday, April 25.
