Local Webelos collect books to donate to local children in need.

Webelos in Cub Scout Pack 1857 held a book drive to benefit the Division of Family Services. The drive was held in March and book were delivered to Sarah Constant at the Division of Family Services. The division is often in need of books for the children who are removed from homes, or who go there for supervised visitations. Frequently children are sent home with books resulting in a continual need to replenish books kept on site.

Webelos collected several boxes from Meadville School and Bishop Hogan Memorial school, where they had bins set out for collection.

Alexis, Lacy and Tristan have recently bridged into a Scout Troop, and this was their last Cub Scout event other than the blue and gold banquet to celebrate their moving up to Scout Troop 1857.
