I knew we had a creative community but I hadn't realized how much that extended to writing. There were all kinds of works represented: children's picture books, chapter books, children's historical fiction, poetry, short stories or 'flash fiction,' war stories, true life experiences, cookbooks, westerns, local history, how to write, local hiking, and magazine articles of an inventor. It was fascinating!

Thank you to Robin Westphal for having the idea and allowing us to do this. And a shout out to Janae Coplin for the artist flair and photography. See more pictures on our Facebook page.

Be looking for this event again! Who knows, maybe next year you'll be one of our local authors. Have you ever thought of writing a book?
