BHMS 8th grade recognition night

Bishop Hogan Memorial School hosted 8th grade recognition night. Abigail Marshall, daughter of Jeff and Kim Marshall; Maksim Dickerson, son of Brook and Amy Dickerson; Dawson Baxter, daughter of Shane and Kathy Baxter; and Elijah Constant, son of JW and Courtney Constant were recognized in between the girls and boys game and parents were presented yellow roses.

Academic Banquet

The Academic Banquet is a well-known honor at Chillicothe-High School. IT is an event that celebrates the success of our fellow students in their academic achievements. Having this event allows our school to challenge all students to perform to the best of their academic ability. Not only that but it also helps encourage students to strive for grades they have never earned before. This alone takes dedication, hard work, discipline, and a good sense of time management, which are all essential life skills.

Every year, families gather around the table, usually with a home-cooked meal, and consider what they are thankful for. The first Thanksgiving happened in 1621, but until 1863 it wasn’t considered a holiday until President Abraham Lincoln declared it so.

As part of the beginning of the holiday season in Chillicothe the Festival of Lights will kick-off its season next Saturday, Nov. 19, with the lighting of the annual attraction in Simpson Park at 5:30 p.m.

Higgins, Munoz Participate in District Choir

Chillicothe High School students Allison Higgins and Kathryn Munoz participated in the 2022 Northwest District Choir this Saturday, October 29. They had the privilege of rehearsing and performing alongside 190 students from 30 different schools within the district under the expert leadership of Grammy nominated conductor Anthony Maglione from William Jewell. Additionally, after a second audition, Higgins received Honorable Mention to the 2023 Missouri All-State Choir.

Livingston County Professionals needed for Online, Tuition-Free

A.T. Still University’s College of Graduate Health Studies (ATSU- CGHS) iscontinuing to enroll Missourians in an online graduate certificate program designed to increase the capacity of the state’s public health workforce as part of a $3.3 million grant from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services-Office of Rural Health & Primary Care.
