For two years, shoppers have seen how supply chain problems can shock the food system. Initially triggered by the pandemic, these problems have persisted due to labor shortages, transportation bottlenecks and now international conflict.
Linn County voters are being asked to vote “yes” to a one-quarter of a cent sales tax increase at the polls on April 5 to help support the Linn County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO). “The law enforcement tax is needed to help supplement our budget at the Linn County Sheriff’s Office,” Linn County Sheriff Jeff Henke said.
Angel Narvaez, the American Legion National Vice Commander, visited the Chillicothe Vern R. Glick Legion Post 25, at the Livingston County Veterans Building, on March 10. Narvaez stated the American Legion is needed to insure veterans are treated for disabilities and homelessness.

The Yellowstone River is the longest undammed river in the United States. It originates at 12,800 feet above sea level in the Absaroka Mountains of Wyoming. Flows north into Montana, turns east at Livingston, and by the time it reaches the Missouri River in the plains of western North Dakota, the river has descend 11,000 feet to a mere 1,800 above sea level. The biodiversity of the Upper Yellowstone River is drastically different than that of the lower regions. But as our climate changes, species are finding new homes.
