Blackwater hosting Summer Concert Series

Blackwater Restaurant and Lounge is bringing their summer concert series back to Chillicothe. They kicked off the summer by welcoming a returning 90s tribute band, The Mixtapes, on Friday, May 19. Dennis Hicks, co-owner of Blackwater, has been working with staff for the last three years to try and perfect the planning, advertising, sponsoring, and organizing which goes into a successful concert night. He says that “once you get established, bands actually contact us wanting to play here.” This venue certainly seems to spell success as the local restaurant is featuring six more concert nights this summer.
