Bishop Hogan Receives Approval for Building Expansion

CHILLICOTHE - Bishop Hogan Memorial School has received the OK to take on one of the biggest construction projects for the school in the past 70 years. With approval from the Diocesan Building Commission, this project has been a dream in the works for the past two years. The construction will include a renovation of part of the current property, but the major construction would be a building that would encompass 8,000 square feet of space and serve several needs for the school. Plans are for one large building will pull together the current two buildings.

Downtown Spring Clean Up Day

CHILLICOTHE — Main Street Chillicothe recently partnered with their student volunteer group, the Main-iacs, for a successful Downtown Clean-Up Day. The enthusiastic crew of local students and volunteers dedicated their time to sweeping around Silver Moon Plaza, picking up litter, and pulling weeds, all in an effort to keep the downtown district looking its best.

City Approves Purchase of Security System for New Law Enforcement Building

CHILLICOTHE - At its recent meeting, the Chillicothe City Council approved the installation of an access control and video surveillance system for the city’s new law enforcement building housing the Chillicothe Police Department. Proceeding with the purchase now of the equipment would secure current pricing and avoid potential cost increases due to tariffs. The current presented cost for services and products is $103,215.
