Leadership Chillicothe Class of 2022 Graduates

Earlier this week the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce, area residents, business owners and city officials celebrated the 12 graduates of the Leadership Chillicothe Class of 2022. According to a post on social media from the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce, for the past seven months, these local leaders immersed themselves in monthly sessions that introduced them to area industries and connected them to community figures while actively exploring their personal leadership styles.

September 2022 Monthly Jobs Report

Missouri non-farm payroll employment increased by 2,700 jobs from August 2022 to September 2022, and the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased by onetenth of a percentage point. Private industry employment increased by 10,400 jobs and government employment decreased by 7,700 jobs. The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 2.4 percent in September 2022, from 2.5 percent in August 2022. Over the year, there was an increase of 71,500 jobs from September 2021 to September 2022, and the unemployment rate decreased by 1.6 percentage points, from 4% in September 2021 to 2.4% in September 2022.

MoDOT, Safety Partners Aim for Zero Fatalities on Missouri’s Roads

For the sixth year, the Missouri Department of Transportation and the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety, along with various safety partners, schools and businesses throughout the state, are encouraging better driving behaviors as part of Buckle Up Phone Down Day; and this year, aiming for the goal of zero traffic fatalities throughout the day. Missouri’s 2022 Seat Belt Usage Survey showed 89% of vehicle occupants use a seat belt, matching the highest rate the state has ever recorded.
