Special Election Scheduled to Resolve Tie in Chillicothe’s 3rd Ward City Council Race

CHILLICOTHE - Following an unexpected tie in the April 8 municipal election for the 3rd Ward City Council seat in Chillicothe, city officials have announced a special runoff election to determine the winner. The tie was officially recognized after the city council accepted the certified election results and approved a proclamation declaring the deadlock. This proclamation, expressing the candidates’ agreement to proceed with a special election, has been forwarded to Livingston County Election Authority Sherry Parks.

CHULA - There are a few big events at Chula, the Home of the Bobcats, as school starts winding down. Fresh off of spring break, April 21 shows there’s no school but a track meet in Princeton at 1 p.m. On April 22, the student-athletes will head to a track meet in Trenton at 3:30 p.m. MAP testing also begins that day, with Stanford testing beginning on April 23. Hosted by the OPT, the Spring Musical & Art Fair at 6:00 p.m. will be held on April 25.
