Oasis Tutoring to Celebrate Years of Service with Luncheon Honoring Local Volunteers

Since its quiet launch in the middle of a pandemic, Oasis Tutoring in Livingston County has grown from a small group of determined volunteers into a thriving, county-wide initiative that’s changing lives— both for students and for the older adults who mentor them. This spring, the organization will host a luncheon to honor the dedicated individuals who helped get the program off the ground and continue to power its mission forward.

Olive Prindle DAR Chapter Honors Student Essay Winners

CHILLICOTHE – On March 10, 2025, the Olive Prindle Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) celebrated the achievements of local students at its annual American History Essay Contest awards ceremony. Sara Figg Gillilan, American History Co-Chairman alongside Ruth Ann Steele, welcomed parents, grandparents, and honored guests to recognize the hard work of 64 participants from Chillicothe Middle School and High School, Bishop Hogan Memorial School, and Hale R-1.

Chula Receives GRM Community Project Grant

CHULA - GRM Networks is continuing its commitment to local progress by awarding $3,750 in Community Improvement Grants during the second round of its 2024 semiannual distribution. Grants were awarded to three organizations working to make a difference across Missouri including the Village of Blythedale, the Chula Park Committee, and the Cainsville Community Betterment program.
