Sliced Bread Day a Success

Sliced Bread Day was celebrated over the weekend with a great turnout for the events! Saturday morning started with the Veterans Breakfast and Farmers Market, as well as a Color Fest 5k Run, followed by spectators lining Washington Street to watch the “The Greatest Parade Since Sliced Bread” at 10 a.m., featuring Grand Marshall “Sliced” Ed Douglas. That afternoon, there were many events to attend, such as a cornhole tournament, food and drink vendors, downtown shopping, bread baking contest and more! The afternoon also included the “Liverpool Legends” (Ultimate Beatles Tribute Band) performing at the PAC, as well as a Sliced Bread Birthday Bash at the Sliced Bread Innovation Center. Several artists took the stage later that evening at Blackwater Restaurant and Lounge for the “Homegrown Concert” and had a wonderful turnout of people to watch them perform. A big thank you to all those people and businesses who put in the hard work to make these events possible, as well as all the people of our community who support it!
