Edgerton Home Ownership Changed

One of the goals of the Livingston County Preservation Society (LCPS) is to preserve historic structures and tell their stories. In line with that, LCPS has chosen to sell the Edgerton house at 609 Polk to someone better equipped to more quickly renovate it. In 2021 the LCPS was able to purchase the home, and after fundraising, we were able to replace the leaking roof in 2022. Further issues of a leaking roof on the east side first floor bump out invited termites to feast on the wood floor. Both of these concerns were resolved quickly. The LCPS strongly believes that without our intervention at a critical time, the once beautiful 1891 Victorian home would have been beyond saving; it was close as it was!
