Jenkins Joins MU Extension

MU Extension is pleased to welcome Shelby Jenkins as the new Field Specialist in Livestock serving Ray, Saline, Livingston, Chariton, Carroll and Lafayette counties. In her role, Jenkins will provide research-based recommendations to assist livestock producers in all aspects of production, including grazing management, feeding strategies, and reproductive efficiency.

The Sweetest of Strolls

Main Street Chillicothe hosted its second Valentine Sweet Stroll on Feb. 13, 2025, inviting the community downtown for an evening of shopping, sweet treats, and Valentine’s Day fun. Despite the snowy weather, the event drew a crowd eager to shake off the winter blues, collect a bag full of delicious sweets, and pick up last-minute gifts for that special someone.

Grand River Historical Society & Museum Receives Grant for Archival Exhibit Project

The Grand River Historical Society & Museum has been awarded a $15,000 grant from the Missouri Humanities Council (MHC) to support its upcoming project, ‘Our History: Exhibits From the Archives.’ This initiative aims to enhance historical preservation efforts and showcase rarely seen artifacts in preparation for AMERICA250, the national semiquincentennial celebration in 2026.

Meadville PTO Awards Grant to Bromwell

Meadville R-IV’s Parent-Teacher Organization has awarded a $150 teacher grant to Brittany Bromwell, a fifth grade teacher, to enhance hands-on learning in her classroom. The grant program, available to both elementary and secondary teachers, aims to provide additional funding to enrich student learning experiences and support educators in their efforts to offer high-quality instruction.
