University of Missouri Extension FCS Professionals Help Area Residents to “Live Well”

Health is a lot more than how one looks and feels. Conversations about health should include all eight dimensions or areas of wellness—that is mental, social, emotional, spiritual, financial, occupational, environmental, and intellectual. That’s the focus of Living Well Month, a national event in March promoting overall wellness and the education provided by Family and Consumer Sciences professionals to improve the lives of people, families, and communities.

Man arrested after fleeing police

A man was arrested Sunday night after a Chillicothe Police Officer tried to conduct a traffic stop and the 37-year-old man fled from authorities. According to a press release from Sergeant Jeremy Stephens at about 10:16 p.m., the night of March 6, during inclement weather, officers conducted a traffic stop near Mitchell Road and Corporate Drive, but the vehicle continued to the area of the 600 block of Corporate Drive.

NCMC offers Microsoft Office Fundamentals course

A new community education course at North Central Missouri College (NCMC) is now enrolling participants for Microsoft Office Fundamentals. The six-week, non-credit course is open to members of the public, enrollees do not need to be NCMC students. Microsoft Office Fundamentals will be held on Mondays from 6-8 p.m. beginning March 28 - May 2 on the NCMC Main Campus in Hoffman Hall 101 in Trenton.
