C Club celebrates ‘James Beemer Day’

CHS C Club held ‘James Beemer Day’ on Jan. 25. All students and staff were encouraged to wear their letter jackets in honor of Beemer on the sixth anniversary of his death. He helped countless students and young adults get fitted with letter jackets and tuxes; and was a pillar of the Chillicothe community and a positive influence on everyone he met. Anyone wishing to donate to the James Beemer fund, an ongoing charity that assists students financially who may not have the ability to afford a new jacket, patches, or suit rental, donations may be brought to Rachael Wheeler at Chillicothe High School. Make checks payable to James R. Beemer Memorial Fund. (Courtesy)

A layer of ice ¼ inch thick adds over 500 pounds of weight to power lines. As the layer of ice gets thicker, the weight increases to dangerous levels. A little wind or a falling tree limb and both lines and poles can break causing power outages that can last for days.
