The Grand River Museum has announced expanded operating hours through the end of 2024, making it more accessible for visitors to explore the areaâs rich history. The current hours are as follows: Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from1-4 p.m.

Downtown Chillicothe was alive with festive cheer on Saturday morning as the city hosted its 78th annual Holiday Parade. Featuring 70 creative and colorful entries, the parade delighted spectators of all ages with its holiday spirit and community pride.

The Livingston County Health Center Board of Trustees regular meeting was held Nov. 26 at noon and at the top of the agenda was the swearing in of the newly appointed Board of Trustees member, Catherine Hamilton. County Commissioner Ed Douglas passed it on to chairman of the Trustees, Sonja Daley, that the County was pleased with the process and despite having several applicants, found Hamilton to be the best fit to fill the vacancy left open due to the absence and passing of former Trustee, Dr. Christopher Hulett. Hamilton comes to the board as an administrator at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe and Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton. Hamilton was officially appointed to the board on Nov. 5, 2024 and Public Notary Cathy Ripley performed the swearing in ceremony.
The Livingston County Library is teaming up with the Salvation Army this holiday season to spread joy to children and families in need through the Christmas Angel Tree program. The initiative invites community members to stop by the libraryâs first-floor lobby to select a tag from the Angel Tree and provide a gift for a local child in need.

Chillicothe native Dr. Amy Patel, a fellowship-trained breast radiologist of the Breast Care Center at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo. has earned a distinguished spot on Radiology Businessâ 2024 â40 Under 40â list, an honor recognizing top young professionals in the radiology field worldwide. Patel, who currently practices and advocates for improved patient outcomes in Missouri and beyond, expressed gratitude for being included among such an elite group of professionals.
