404 Clean Water Act Permit Signed
On Wednesday March 27, Chairman of the North Central Missouri Regional Water Commission (NCMRWC), Harve Rhodes signed the Clean Water Act Section 404 Permit, and it was delivered to the Kansas City District of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) where it was countersigned and approved.
MU Center Projects a Dip in Farm Income for Springtime
Both crop and livestock receipts are projected to decline along with farm income, according to the Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center’s spring report.Another decline in net farm income is projected for the Show-Me State, according to the Spring 2024 Missouri Farm Income Outlook released by the University of Missouri’s Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center (RaFF).The report offers a state-level glimpse at projected farm financial indicators, including farm receipts, production expenses and other components that affect net farm income.

Patrons Express Concerns to Library Board
In recent weeks patrons of the Livingston County Library have spoken to staff, made comments before the Livingston County Library Board about materials some feel are not appropriate for a public library.
April 2 Municipal Election Results
During the April 2 elections, Livingston County Clerk Sherry Parks reported that about 12.5% of eligible voters cast a ballot in the municipal election.In the race for three open seats on the Livingston County R-III (Chula) School Board, Diana Holcer, with 76 votes; Madison Imgarten, with 61 votes; and Geremy Bru won with 58 votes.
