April 2023 elections results

Livingston County Clerk Sherry Parks reported there was a 17.7% voter turnout in Livingston County for the April 4 election with 1,657 votes cast. Results from that election are as follows: With 668 “yes” votes” and 270 “no” voters Chillicothe decided to extend the one-half percent city sales tax for capital improvements.

First-ever Spring-A-Palooza happening Saturday

The Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to bring a new spring vendor festival to the area on Saturday, April 15. Spring-A-Palooza is a local event that showcases over 50 vendor booths of all styles, multiple food trucks with unique offerings, and family fun with inflatables & more! It will be held at the Jenkins Expo Center located on the Litton Agri-Science Campus on Highway 190. This new event is sponsored by Clevenger & Associates, Foster Heating & Air Conditioning, Green Hills Communications, Hearing Care Partners, and Sensenich Jeweler and will be open to the public from 10 a.m., to 5 p.m., on April 15.

LCSO releases incident reports, arrests, public information

Recently, Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox released incident reports, arrests and other public information based off of calls and actions taken by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO). INCIDENT REPORTS: March 16 LCSO completed investigation of scam where male county resident reported exchanging photos and messages with person claiming to be of legal age and suddenly began demanding money be transferred immediately and claiming to be underage female or the scammer would report the alleged criminal activity to authorities and post embarrassing photos on social media.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know what Tiktok is. TikTok is a worldwide streaming app that allows you to make small video clips and watch others’ videos. It has over 3.5 billion downloads and 2.5 million daily active users. I polled CHS students, and over 85% of students said they use the app frequently. TikTok is obviously a popular pastime for many teenagers.
