Livingston County Fair Gears Up for Full Week of Events and Activities

LIVINGSTON COUNTY - The 2025 Livingston County Fair is packed with activities for youth participants, families, and community members. The excitement kicks off Monday, July 7, at 5:30 p.m. with the 4-H Archery contest. On Tuesday evening, July 8, also at 5:30 p.m., participants will compete in 4-H Small Bore, BB Gun, Western Heritage, and Muzzleloader events.

Chillicothe Launches Fundraiser to Restore Beloved Graham’s Mill Mural

CHILLICOTHE - A cherished piece of Chillicothe’s identity is on its way back—brighter and stronger than ever. Main Street Chillicothe has announced a new fundraising campaign to reinstall the Graham’s Mill & Bridge mural, a vibrant landmark that once colored the walls of 504 Washington Street. After a critical but costly structural repair to the exterior wall, the time has come to bring art back to the heart of downtown.

Public Outrage After Eight Newborn Puppies Abandoned in Suitcase at Chillicothe Park

CHILLICOTHE - Chillicothe Animal Control is asking for the public’s help after a heartbreaking case of animal abandonment was discovered earlier this week. Sometime between Sunday and Monday, eight 9-day-old puppies were found stuffed inside a suitcase and left behind a trash can at Clay Street Park. A handwritten note was reportedly included with the litter.

Absentee Voting Equipment Testing

CHILLICOTHE - To comply with Section 115.233, RSMo, there will be testing of the automatic absentee voting equipment on Wednesday, June 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Livingston County Courthouse, County Clerk’s office, Chillicothe, Missouri. Representatives of the political parties, the news media, and the public are invited to attend.

Absentee Ballots Available Today

CHILLICOTHE - Absentee ballots will be available in the Livingston County Clerk’s office for the August 5 Special Election starting June 24. Anyone needing to vote absentee may contact the county clerk’s office to inquire about the process. Regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. The last day to register to vote is Wednesday, July 9. The last day to request an absentee ballot to be mailed is Wednesday, July 23. The county clerk’s office will also be open Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Special arrangements for absentee voting can be made by calling the Livingston County Clerk’s office at 660-646-8000 x 3.
