Pesticides are chemicals designed to kill or repel living things that are considered by humans to be pests. Pesticides include insecticides, herbicides, rodenticides and fungicides. If not handled properly, pesticides may cause harm to other organisms including pets, livestock, wildlife, and people.

Teacher of the Year, Beacon winners announced

Numerous Chillicothe R-II Staff members were honored today January 3 for their years of service, for excellence in the District, and as recipients of a Department of Elementary and Secondary--sponsored scholarship during the annual service and awards program held at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center. The event kicked off a day of professional development for teachers and staff members.

CES expansion underway

It’s been eight months since voters approved a no-tax levy increase for the expansion of the Chillicothe Elementary School, and District officials are excited to report that dirt work has begun. Superintendent Dr. Dan Wiebers reports that Lawhon Construction, the District’s General Contractor for the project, has been on site, preparing for future construction.
