COMING HOME. Southwest Schools announced that they have hired two Wildcat alumni to fill an art teacher and PE/coach position. Both of the new hires graduated from Southwest with honors. Elizabeth Warren from Dawn is the new art teacher. She attended North Central Community College and then graduated from Northwest Missouri State after studying animal sciences. She has been active in the Chillicothe art scene leading art classes and selling her art work under the moniker of EW Art.

Main Street Chillicothe has announced a new fundraising campaign to reinstall the Graham’s Mill & Bridge mural, a vibrant landmark that once colored the walls of 504 Washington Street. After a critical but costly structural repair to the exterior wall, the time has come to bring art back to the heart of downtown.

Chillicothe Residents Share Their Crafts

Chillicothe was well represented by Jan and Amy Jackson of Salty Hippo Studio at the Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival (KCRQF) this week. Greeting the 10,000 plus festival visitors with broad smiles and an upbeat attitude these two Chillicothe residents showed boundless energy and a customer oriented mindset throughout the three day event.
