Charlene Jean Ward, 92, of Braymer, MO passed away Wednesday June 15, 2022, at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe with her Granddaughter Kelly by her side. She was born December 9, 1929, in Helena, Montana, the daughter of Charles and Agatha Billings.

Russell Lee Hawk, age 70, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at his residence. Russell was born the son of Lewis and Betty Marie (Bradberry) Hawk on August 5, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Stephen Wyse, 55, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022, at his home. Private family services will be held. A public Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Barbara Louise (Morris) Stith

Barbara Louise (Morris) Stith - age 74 of Chillicothe, MO passed away Wednesday morning, June 15, 2022 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe. Barbara was born on June 10, 1948, the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Clingingsmith) Morris in Livingston County, MO. She was a lifelong resident of Trenton and Chillicothe. Barbara was a 1966 graduate of Trenton High School. She furthered her education at Trenton Junior College, graduating in 1968 and attended Northwest Missouri State College. She married Larry Stith on December 29th, 1968, at Shelburne Baptist Church in Trenton, MO. Barbara worked for Verelle Peniston State School in Chillicothe from 1980 to 1995 as a paraprofessional, secretary and bus driver. She retired from Chillicothe R-II School District in 2008, where she was a special education paraprofessional. Barbara was an advocate for the disabled, serving as an activity director for SPA Handicap Program and board member of Hope Haven, Camp Rainbow, Senate Bill 40, and Concerned Citizens for the Developmentally Disabled. Barbara was also a 4-H leader for Double H. Her greatest Joy was her family and she truly felt blessed by God. Barbara loved spending time with her family, cooking, flower gardening, camping, reading and attending 4th of July celebrations. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Jerry Dale Gaston, age 78, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022, at Hedrick Medical Center. Jerry was born the son of Fred Wesley Gaston and Amanda May (Sprouse) Gaston on December 24, 1943, in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Dorothy Kaye, age 94, of Sumner, Missouri passed peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at her home with family by her side. Dorothy Rosella, daughter of Gilbert James and Virginia Carson (Maxwell) Butterfield, was born October 3, 1927, in Linneus, Missouri.

Lucille Shrimpton

Lucille Shrimpton, age 92, of Springfield, MO, went to her heavenly home on June 16, 2022. She was born in Farmersville, MO, but moved to the Chillicothe area as an infant, graduating from Chillicothe Business College in 1949. Lucille was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Robert (Bob) F. Shrimpton, her parents, George and Burla June Baxter, and six siblings: Russell Baxter, Cuma Mumpower, Merle Miller, Barbara Owen, Eugene Baxter, and Doris Hendrix. Lucille is survived by her four children and their spouses: Linda and Ron Springate, Jefferson City, TN; James and Rhonda Shrimpton, Kearney, MO; Stephen and Kelly Shrimpton, Springfield, MO; Jon and Lisa Shrimpton, Grafton, IL. Additionally, Lucille leaves a legacy of 10 grandchildren: Amy Holder (Dax), Shelley Ball (Jeremy), Sean Shrimpton (Leslie), Brad Shrimpton (Ashley), Michael Shrimpton (Myleah), Joel Shrimpton (Micayla), Kyle Klunk (Ashley), Tanar Shrimpton (Grace), Mitchell Klunk, Stevi Kirby (Drew); 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

LAPP- Charles ”Chuck” Harold Lapp, age 76, of Monroe, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
