Bonnie I. (Hampton) Linhardt, 92, a resident of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at ManorCare Nursing Home in Davenport. Per her wishes, there will be no public service. A private Graveside Service will be held in St. Columban’s Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport, is assisting the family.

Lois was born the daughter of Charles Fielding Shipp and Minnie “Mae” (Kerr) Shipp on February 6, 1929, in Avalon, MO.

Clifford R. Maples

Clifford R. Maples born July 30, 1951 To Gerald “Jake” Maples and Ester Mae Reeves Maples, passed away on Jan 5 at Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph MO. He was better known as “Sugar Bear” to his friends, “G” or “Big Schmuck” or “Big Grandpa” to his Grandkids, and Little Brother to his only Surviving Sister. Cliff was a life time resident of Chillicothe Mo. During his life he worked for his Father “Jake Maples”, in their Salvage yard and continued the business after his father passed. He also was a bus driver for the Chillicothe School District for many years, where he was loved by all that entered those School bus doors. Cliff was also a devout Christian and put all his faith in the Lord. He was always such a giving person, and was the first to lend a hand to anyone who would be in need. He was proceeded in death By both parents, His Sister Karen Sue Ashlock, and his Brothers, Charles and Owen Maples. He is survived by his Eldest daughter Rhonda Maples Hargrave of Chillicothe, and his youngest daughter Misty Maples Cecil and Husband John Cecil of Gallatin. Grandchildren, Brennon Hargrave and wife Sydnie of KC MO, Dean Maples and wife Tiffany of Chillicothe, Willy Walker of Gallatin, Justina Hargrave of KC MO, and his sister Mary Lou VanDeventer of Chillicothe, along with nieces and One Nephew. He will always be remembered as a loving jokester that always had a smile. By our family he will be remembered as a true Christian man that loved his family very very much!

Shirley L. Helm

Shirley L. Helm, age 69, passed away on Jan. 8, 2022 at her home in St. Joseph, MO. She was born on June 13, 1951 in Chillicothe, MO, the daughter of John and Charolett (Graves) Helm. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022 from 11 a.m. - noon, with a funeral service following at 12 p.m. at Bullock Family Funeral Chapel in St. Joseph, MO. She will be laid to rest at Ashland Cemetery. Shirley was preceded in death by her father, John Helm and siblings, William Helm, Sr, Jeffrey Helm, and Donna Helm. Survivors include her mother, Charolett Graves; partner, Harry White; sister, Deborah Kaufman; half-sister, Patricia Lacey; stepsister, Antonnete Bowlin; her two sons, Steven and Jeff; granddaughter, Jaslynn; along with many other loving relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to Bullock Family Funeral Chapel in care of Harry White.
