Carroll Louis Surber, age 97, of Chillicothe, MO passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on January 3, 2022. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan 8 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Meadville Church of Christ 400 Macon Street, Meadville Missouri.
Margaret Elizabeth (Dennis) Adams, age 96, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at her home. Margaret was born on January 3, 1925, in Chillicothe, Missouri, the daughter of George Omar and Florence (Arthaud) Dennis.
Robert Duane Toot, age 84, passed away on Nov. 23, 2021 at Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt, KS. He was born on Aug. 31, 1937 in Pratt, KS., the son of Ora and Dorothy (Hunley) Toot. Robert was the owner of Bob’s Motor Co., worked for the City of St. John and farmed for many local farmers. He served in the United States Airforce in 1960. Survivors include his daughter, Sharina (Rina) Lawson (Rick Brewer), Little Rock, AR; sister, Rajean Ring, Stafford, KS; grandchildren Jarvis and Carlee Lawson; great grandchild, Sterling Lawson. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; and a sister, Janice Toot. A memorial service with Military Honors will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 at Minnis Chapel, St. John, KS., with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Memorials may be given to Wounded Warriors Project or ASPCA in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
Haviland, KS - Donald Wayne Chenoweth, 75, passed away January 4, 2022 at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital. He was born November 17, 1946 in Wichita to Lawrence and Ella Fern (Meyer) Chenoweth. Donald married Karen Conklin on September 6, 1975 at the United Methodist Church in Haviland, KS. They were married for 46 years.
CHILLICOTHE - Lori D.Yarbrough, 59, of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021. Lori was born June 20, 2021 in Norborne, Missouri to parents Henry Willard and Barbara Jean (Mann) Renzelman.
WHEELING - C.E. “Bud” Winnett, Wheeling Mo., passed away on Friday Dec. 17, 2021 at the University of Columbia, Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Charla (Wheeling, Mo), his son Gregory (Nashville), daughters Karen (Sacramento), Cheryl (Naples, Italy) and Michelle, (Shelbina) plus several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bud Winnett is well-known locally as well as nationally, as an accomplished long arm quilter having quilter having quilted well over 250 Quilts of Valors, and over 500 cherished family quilts. Bud had a wide variety of interests and hobbies throughout his 91 years of life. Activities ranged from instructing a rifle squad to photojournalist, military history to medieval recreation, but throughout it all, he was always involved in playing his bass guitar in local country bands on the West Coast. Careers ranged from working in the circus at age 15, to being in the US Air Force, industrial engineer, business owner and school custodian. The family requests that no flowers be sent but rather make donations in his name to the Wheeling, Mo. Fire department. Service will be held at the Higginsville Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
CHILLICOTHE - Vincent John Wolf, age 91, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at Indian Hills – A Stonebridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri. Vincent was born the son of William and Sophia (Miller) Wolf on March 8, 1930, in Osage, Iowa.

LEE’S SUMMIT - Lauren Michele Way, age 37, a resident of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, a former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at her residence. Lauren was born the daughter of Stephen Way and Paula (Meek) Way Roberts on July 26, 1984, in Springfield, Missouri.
