Mary Lynne Lipari

Mary Lynne Lipari, 78, a resident of Flower Mound, Texas and former longtime resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at TX Presbyterian Hospital in Flower Mound, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born the daughter of Harold and Flora (Herbst) Wagner on May 24, 1944 in Hastings, Nebraska.

James William “Dub” Engleman Sr.

James William “Dub” Engleman Sr., 84, of Chillicothe, Mo. passed away in his home on October 1, 2022. James was born on October 24, 1937, to parents Lloyd Sylvester Engleman and Lavon Mae Ewing Engleman in Eversonville, Mo. He graduated from Meadville High School. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy. On June 2, 1984, he married Vivian Louise Burton at Olive Branch Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Mo. He worked at Donaldson for 41 years operating a variety of machines. James was a member of the United Auto Workers #714 and a licensed minister. He served as the Pastor at Eversonville Baptist Church and Olive Branch Baptist Church. When needed, he helped out at other local churches. James had many hobbies include bowling, fishing, being a great handyman and spending time with his family. James is survived by his wife, Vivian of Chillicothe; children Kevin (Sharon) Engleman of Gunn City, Mo.; Candy Baker of Raymore, Mo.; Theresa Brunner of Dallas, Texas; James(Jay) Engleman of Dallas; Jim Still (Jackie) of Chillicothe; Angela Dillon (Jerry) of Chillicothe; sisters Janet Roark-Gladstone; Nancy Gooch (William) Warrenton, Missouri; Sherry Goldsmith of Calabasas, Calif.; many nieces and nephews; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and one on the way. James was preceded in death by parents; sister Thelma Buttman; brothers, Lloyd Junior Engleman and Jerry Engleman; granddaughter, Amber Lavon Baker. Visitation was held at Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services were held at Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 11 a.m. Burial was at Arkadelphia Cemetery. Arrangements were under the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.

Lamar Gresham Moore

Lamar Gresham Moore, age 87, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at his residence. He was born the son of Vincent Gresham and Clara Belle (Price) Moore on January 30, 1935 in Monticello, Arkansas. He was a 1952 graduate of Selma High School, Selma, Arkansas where he played basketball. Lamar knew how to work hard and play hard, this led to an interesting path to his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello, Arkansas. He served in the National Guard. Lamar often told about serving with his cousins, Paul Eddy Moore and Billy Moore at Fort Chaffee, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Lamar was a lifelong John Deere man beginning with the family’s purchase of the Model A tractor, to being Territory Representative after college which led to owning his own John Deere dealership in Chillicothe, Missouri. Throughout his life, he took his responsibility toward family, friends and fun seriously. If he said he would take care of something, he would. Lamar valued family roots, hunting and old cars. He curated artifacts from his life to celebrate where he came from. He was quick to offer a chance to others to share in his newest hobby. To say he was outgoing would be an understatement. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. He is survived by two sons, Tony Moore of Kansas City, Missouri, and Andrew Weldon and wife, Amy of Warrensburg, Missouri; four grandchildren, Taylor Moore, Sophia Weldon, Zoey Weldon and Emma Weldon; brother, Jimmy Moore of Monticello, Arkansas; and sister-in-law, Rachel Moore of Chillicothe, Missouri. He is also survived by his long time companion, Susan E. Welch Wilson of Milan, Missouri; and his faithful cat, Gresham Moore. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Brett Moore; and brother, Maurice Moore. A memorial service will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. A visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe

Barbara L. Schwab

Barbara L. Schwab, 87, of Platte City, MO, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022. Barbara was born February 12, 1935, in Utica, MO and moved to Platte City with her husband and children in 1965. She retired from the Platte County Collector’s Office in 1998. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, and four brothers, David, Harold, and Bill Boorn, and Gilbert Dominique. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie (Duane) Soper; son, Eric (Kim) Schwab; sister, Sandra (Dennis) Quigley; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life is planned for October 29 at the First Christian Church of Platte City, 708 3rd Street, Platte City from 2 to 5pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to the church, where she and Dale were members.
