Soccer Lady Hornets Top State-Ranked MEC Foe 3-1 Monday

Prior to the formal post-game ceremony which would do the same thing, the 2022 Chillicothe High School soccer Lady Hornets presented an “in action” salute and expression of thanks to Roger Brick, the town’s long-time, undisputed “Mr. Soccer,” last Monday, playing well from start to finish to create a 3-1 home-match victory over Class 1 stateranked keen rival Bishop LeBlond of St. Joseph.

Bishop Hogan’s Basketball Eagles Soar to Summit

The host teams of Chillicothe’s Bishop Hogan Memorial School captured the championships of the school’s annual fifth- and sixth-grade basketball tournament in March, prevailing over squads from Breckenridge, Braymer, Meadville, and Southwest Livingston. The BHMS girls finished ahead of second-place Southwest with Meadville third. On the boys’ side, the host Eagles outdistanced the Braymer “1” second for the crown with Braymer’s “2” squad in third.
