CAMERON — Although only two had an opponent in each match, six Chillicothe High School Hornets wrestlers went undefeated personally last Saturday in the Crossroads Duals tournament at Cameron, helping lift the Hornets to four team victories in five tries. Sophomore Carter Shipers at 120 pounds and junior Cayden Larson at 165 each posted five on-the-mat triumphs in Chillicothe’s first competition of the new year.

This season’s Meadville High School basketball Lady Eagles are “the real deal.” Taking down stateranked teams from higher classifications in both the semifinals and championship game of the Salisbury Invitational tournament last Thursday and Saturday, the MHS girls (13-0) clearly established their ceiling – serious state-championship contention.
